Weight Loss Tips That Actually Work
These weight loss tips that we've designed have helped us and we think they can help you.
Great news: Food is good for you. But you need to eat the right foods if your goal is weight loss.
Here are our favorite weight loss tips to help get you started:
1) Eat breakfast.
You should never skip any meals, but definitely do not skip breakfast. Breakfast helps fuel your body for the day ahead. If you're exercising (which you should be), then eating breakfast is a must, otherwise you'll run out of steam and not be able to exercise properly. It can actually leave you feeling light-headed and nauseous if you miss this ever important meal at the start of your day. An example of a good, balanced breakfast is a glass of orange juice and/or coffee, half a whole grain bagel or one piece of whole grain toast, one hard boiled egg and a handful of strawberries. This combination is simple yet delicious and it fills us up at the start of our day.

2) Stay clear of junk food.
It's true that neither one of us eats junk food and we find that we are in the minority. This may seem a little extreme but since junk food is addictive, it simply needs to be avoided. It's easier to stay clear of it if you're not hungry, so do not skip meals and always carry a snack of nuts and fruit with you.
3) Incorporate omega 3 into your diet.
These are essential fatty acids that can be found in foods like sardines, mackerel, lake trout, herring, albacore tune, salmon, flaxseed oils and nuts as well as a few others. The American Heart Association recommends eating fish twice a week so that your body gets enough omega 3.
Besides being good for you by reducing the risk of heart attacks by 50%, it also fights the aging process. Be sure to include omega 3 into your diet.
4) Portion control.
Eat smaller portions throughout the day. Most of us grew up being told that we had to eat three meals a day. Most people still operate this way, but most studies show that eating smaller portions of healthy food five-six times a day, you're actually helping increase yoru body's meatabolism and keeping your insulin levels regualted. This means that your energy level stays at a very good level morning, noon and night.
5) Exercise.
It's so good for you. It undoubtedly keeps you looking and feeling better. It is absolutely crucial in weight loss. You could probably list several reasons as to why you can't or won't exercise. Let's put those aside for now, because they won't help you. The one weight loss tip that will always work, 100% of the time, is to exercise and eat foods that are good for you. It's always the same formula. People have done it before you, and there will be more doing it after you. Decide now to join them.

We already know that crash diets don't work. Why is this? It's because crash diets deprive your body of food-food that your body needs for the proper maintenance and functioning of your mind and body.
Ever notice how people who are on a diet are usually quick tempered and grouchy? This is largely due to the fact that they are not following the correct healthy eating guidelines. Not to mention that they are more than likely to be damaging their organs in the long run and bound to gain all their weight plus more shortly after stopping their crash diet.
Crash diets are designed to make people fail. They design short-term, unrealistic eating guidelines that cause more harm than good. They usually consist of eating too much of one thing while eliminating an entire food group. For example, consuming too much protein with not enough whole grains. This imbalance in your diet causes a lot of strain on the body, causing people to fatigue more quickly, among many other problems. It's also the complete opposite of a healthy balanced diet.
